Picrorhiza kurroa known as Katuki in traditional Ayurvedic medical system, was used for thousands of years for liver and bile diseases. It's a little herb that is found in regions of average height (3000 - 5000 m) in the Himalayas. Rhizomes and roots are the plant parts that concentrates the majority of its active ingredients.
